There are a wide diversity of creatures that call the Canadian Wasteland home. There are too great a number to go over them all, so we'll stick to the species that reside in the area around the settlement of Redtown, where this book was written.
Brahmin
Brahmin are mutated cattle, with two functioning head instead of one. Brahmin are easily domesticated by humans and Ghouls, serving as the staple meat source... as well as glowing milk. Brahmin, even mad ones, should hardly pose much of a threat, even to new Wastelanders. The meat is... edible. Not much can be said for taste, and it is a bit chewy. However, in the Wasteland, one can never complain about food.
As cockroaches are one of the only creatures known to survive an atomic blast, it is not surprising that they are still present. However, they have been mutated by the radiation, making them larger. Radroaches, as they are now known, only attack if provoked. Remaining at least two feet away seems to be a wide enough berth for the insects. Little caution is needed when fighting Radroaches.
Wolf
Wolves, like dogs, have been largely unaffected by radiation. Unlike dogs, however, wolves have not been tamed. The only difference seems to be an enhanced aggression caused from nuclear fallout. While certaintly not as deadly as other predators, caution is advised.
Mole Rat
MOLE RATS ARE VILE, DISGUSTING CREATURES AND SHOULD BE WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE PLANET AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE! Oh. My apologies... I promised to deliver and unbiased report while writing this guide. Mole Rats are small creatures, and usually travel in groups of three or more. They prefer the dark underground, but will occasionally venture to the surface. It is advised to dispatch them in melee combat, so as not to waste precious ammunition.
Not to be confused with the several amicable Ghouls throughout the Wasteland, Feral Ghouls are crazed and will attack any non-Ghoul on sight. While "Zombie" is a derogatory term in any situation, it should only apply to Feral Ghouls. Feral Ghouls seem to retain some of their human ways, hunting by sight and sound alone. Therefore, rigging up a mask that resembles a Ghoul should trick them into not attack, at the cost of looking like a fool. Feral Ghouls, while still not a major threat, should be handled with caution, especially when in large numbers or when other variations are present.
-Glowing Ones
Of all the Ghoul variations, the Feral Glowing Ones are the only Feral Ghoul variation worth mentioning. While Feral Ghouls have already been subjected to massive amounts of radiation, Glowing Ones have been introduced to even larger amounts. This makes them biological conduits of radiation, able to release it in a burst, irradiating enemies and healing other Ghouls. It is notable that Glowing Ones can irradiate others by simply standing near them. Handle with extensive caution.
Centaur are a hodgepodge if all manner of creatures, resulting in one of the most hideous examples of mutation ever recorded. They are aggressive and possess a long range attack, in which they spit radioactive bile at their target. Caution is advised, but only because Centaur herald the coming of Super Mutants.
Super Mutants are a group of former humans, similar to Ghouls. Their brains "go to mush" at a faster rate though. Super Mutants grow throughout their life, leading to truly colossal results that have been dubbed "Behemoths". It is currently unknown how Super Mutants are made, as autopsies by Wasteland doctors have proven that they are sterile. While all mutated humans deserve a modicum of pity, it is advisable to adopt a "Shoot first, care later" policy.
The Yao Guai
Similar to the Yao Guai of the other Wastelands, notably the Capitol Wasteland, the Yao Guai are some of the fiercest predators around. They are swift, strong, and possess keen senses, able to detect prey at rather impressive distances. Yao Guai chase down their prey with a sprint, before leaping into a mighty jump attack. Unlike their southern cousins, the Yao Guai of the Canadian Wasteland have thicker coats, enabling them to withstand the colder regions, even up to the biting cold of the regions severely affected by nuclear winter.
